Baseboard Heating

Cherry Pie Holiday Utilizes Baseboard Heating.

“Baseboard heat” refers to heaters installed along the bottom of the wall. This placement takes advantage of the natural rise of warm air, allowing heat to move gradually from the floor upward into the living space where it’s most effective. In Cherry Pie Holiday, baseboard heaters are located in every room of the home.

The home has two heating zones, each with its own thermostat. Zone 1 (kitchen, living room, entry) is controlled near the kitchen, and Zone 2 (all bedrooms and bathrooms) is controlled in the master bedroom. Press the up or down arrow to adjust the temperature. Baseboard heat warms slowly, so changes won’t be felt immediately.

Baseboard Heating Quick Tips:

  • Set the temperature ahead of time—baseboard heat warms rooms slowly.

  • Keep both zones at the same temperature for best efficiency.

  • Maintain a slightly higher temperature (Minimum 65 F) to avoid long “catch-up” periods.

  • Keep beds at least 6 inches from baseboards in colder months.

  • Space heaters are in the laundry room if needed.

  • Blankets: one per bedroom bed, three throw blankets in the living room.

  • Use sunlight: open blinds during the day, close at night to retain heat.

  • Boiler is in the garage—keep the garage closed for best efficiency.
